Why UGA-Tifton?
A University of Georgia education, with the advantages of a smaller South Georgia campus.
For many students in South Georgia, earning a bachelor’s degree can mean deciding whether to relocate, leave a job, or move away from family and community responsibilities. UGA-Tifton provides another option: become part of the University of Georgia while completing your degree in South Georgia.
The University of Georgia – closer to home
UGA-Tifton combines the academic standards and resources of the University of Georgia with the personal scale of a smaller campus. Students take UGA courses, work with UGA faculty and advisors, and earn a University of Georgia degree.
A campus where people know you
Transfer students often arrive with very specific questions: Which credits apply? What prerequisites am I missing? Which courses do I need next? At UGA-Tifton, students have direct access to advisors, faculty, and staff who can help them navigate those questions. Learn more about the University of Georgia Tifton campus.
Programs connected to South Georgia
The Tifton campus sits in the heart of one of the nation’s most important agricultural regions. Students learn in an environment where teaching, research, Extension, industry, and community needs intersect.
Designed for transfer students
UGA-Tifton undergraduate programs are degree-completion programs. Students typically complete foundational coursework elsewhere and transfer to Tifton for the upper-division portion of their degree. Early planning helps ensure that the courses taken before transfer support the intended UGA major.
You are a Bulldog
UGA-Tifton is not a separate college using the UGA name. Students enrolled at UGA-Tifton are University of Georgia students. The campus location is different; the University of Georgia degree is the same.
